October, 2009: LAI conducted a Dispatch and Emissions Analysis for the proposed Bayonne Energy Center that will consist of 512 MW of quick-start gas turbines and an HVAC u/w cable lead into New York City. Our Analysis was included in the Joint Proposal submitted to the NYPSC for an Article VII Certificate and is referenced here. |

September, 2009: John Bitler gave a presentation, "The Outlook for North American Fuel Supplies," at the 15th Annual Northeast Energy and Commerce Association Fuels Conference. The presentation covered supply trends and related issues for oil, natural gas, coal, and uranium. August, 2009: LAI was retained by Bayonne Energy Center, LLC, to evaluate a proposed 512-MW peaker plant that would be interconnected from NJ into NYC via an underwater HVAC cable. LAI forecasted the plant’s operating regime, its impact on market energy and capacity prices and its impact on regional NOx emissions. |
